I can’t believe it’s the middle of May! Yesterday I had my 12th anniversary working for Navitaire (and all it’s former names). It was fairly uneventful in and of itself, although at the end of the month when the anniversary email comes out, I’ll get a few “wows” from co-workers!
Lately it’s been hard to know whether I’m coming or going. I’m in SLC now, and the weather is strangely hot! Temps in the 90’s during the day…but beautiful morning and evenings. Still, it may be a little early for these temps!
Not so true back home! There, there hasn’t been much other than 50’s and rain…at least when I’ve been there. Jeff had to mow the lawn this week, as it’s been rainy the whole time I’ve been there. Even last week when I was in Switzerland…rain (until the day I left to come home)!
Some of you may know that I have embarked on an exercise and diet mission. Now hold on, before you go making remarks about being on a diet! This diet is a meal plan prepared by a personal trainer, and the goals we have set do not include “losing weight”. Maybe reducing my shockingly high % body fat by a couple points, but the goal is to nourish to support the exercise. There won’t be any “six-pack abs” in my future…not the immediate future anyway.
So far, I’ve had two sessions with the personal trainer and have been trying to stick to a 5-meal-a-day diet. It’s tricky changing those habits, and worse, documenting everything I eat or drink! As I type this, I am eating a Lean Cuisine meal that is actually quite good (and I need to eat 2 of them). I’m trying to stay on track, and hoping that the effort will pay off. I’m very anxious to see if it does, and at what pace I will even notice.
